An Official Artist Channel (OAC) on YouTube combines your music content, Topic Channel, and artist profile into one verified place — giving fans a seamless way to find your music.

Below is a step-by-step guide to help you meet YouTube’s requirements and make your application process as smooth as possible.

1. Ownership
  • You must prove that you have access to the YouTube channel(s) and accounts you are applying for.
  • Applications must be submitted using the email address linked to your owned channel.
  • Ensure your channel is managed and operated directly by you or your team.
2. Topic Channel
  • You need a unique Topic Channel for your artist.
  • The Topic Channel must contain at least one release.
  • Your music must be officially distributed through Fresible Music (via RouteNote) or another recognized distributor.
3. Appearance
  • Make sure your socials are linked on your Owned & Operated (O&O) YouTube channel.

  • Ensure your channel banner, profile image, and description reflect your brand and are accurate.

4. Content Requirements
  • Your YouTube channel must be owned and operated by you.

  • Your videos must focus primarily on your music.

  • Content must comply with YouTube’s community guidelines and quality standards.

Once all the above criteria are met, you can apply for your OAC.
Having an OAC helps with branding, search visibility, and fan engagement — making it easier for listeners to find and enjoy your music.
